What Happens If I Have Quality Issues After Delivery?

Ginwen Wear maintains a structured after-sales quality policy for post-delivery issues. If a client identifies quality problems after receiving the shipment, the process involves comparing the reported defect against the pre-shipment inspection report, classifying the defect type and cause, and agreeing on a resolution. Our goal is to resolve legitimate manufacturing defects fairly while protecting both parties.

Step 1: Report the Issue

If you discover quality issues after delivery, contact your account manager or the after-sales support team within 7 business days of receipt. Provide the following: order number and style code, clear photographs or video showing the defect, quantity of affected units, and description of the issue.

Step 2: Defect Assessment

Ginwen's QC team reviews the reported issues against the pre-shipment inspection report. Defects are classified into three categories:

ClassificationDefinitionResolution
Manufacturing defectFault caused by production errorReplacement or credit at no charge to client
Shipping damageDamage that occurred during transitCarrier claim process (FOB: client handles; DDP: Ginwen assists)
Spec/design issueMatches approved sample but client unsatisfiedDiscussed case-by-case, typically resolved on next order

Step 3: Resolution Options

For confirmed manufacturing defects affecting up to 5% of the order quantity, Ginwen typically provides a replacement or credit on the next order. For defect rates above 5%, a negotiated solution is proposed based on severity and impact. Options include replacement production, credit applied to next order, partial refund, or return and rework.

Prevention

The best way to avoid post-delivery quality issues is through thorough pre-shipment inspection. We encourage all clients ??especially first-time buyers ??to request third-party inspection through SGS, Bureau Veritas, or Intertek before shipment release.

To report a quality issue, contact our after-sales support team. For new orders, submit your inquiry.
